Why is it that if I eat 1 pound of chocolate or ice cream, I gain 10 pounds - BUT if I eat 100 pounds of broccoli I gain ZERO pounds?

in baking. i know how to use olive oil instead for other things, but for baking i don't know what to use, that is not margarine or shortening, because i heard its unnatural and bad for you, i also heard "i can't believe its not butter" is terrible for you. would a generic blood test show any irregularities?

I was stuck in the snow and everytime the wheels broke traction in 4-hi or 4-low mode all of the power would go to the wheels that were not gripping. Doesn't sound like the 4x4 locks the differential, can anyone confirm this? thanks. (trail rated my @$$)

Me and my husband were thinking of taking our two children, daughter- 3 and son-20 months old to Disney World (they'll be this age when we take them in March). Have any parents out there taken children around these ages to Disney World? If you have, please tell me if it was worth it, if you would do it again, and which park(s) benefited your family the most.
Do they allow small children to ride with their parents? (like at magic kingdom)

Okay, for those of you that don't know, here's how the education system works in the United Kingdom:

6-16 years of age - Compulsory education (school). Main exams are GCSE's in English, Science and Maths, along with other optional subjects such as religious studies, physical education, sociology etc - most take between 8-10 GCSE examinations

16-18 years of age - Optional schooling. Can either be at a college or at school. Main exams are A-levels, and those that choose to do these exams take up to 5 (with the usual being 3) A-levels in a range of subjects, or may take NVQs or alternative qualifications

18+ - University.

I got good grades in my GCSEs, and i'm 17 now and in the 2nd year of my A-levels. I'm doing law, psychology and history, having gotten grades A, B, and C in my first year respectively. I've applied to go to University in September, to do Criminology and Criminal justice. However, I just don't know whether to go. It costs over £2000 per year for uni
