He isn't being prosecuted for wasting police time. In the current climate of heightened racial tensions in some areas, do you think it was right for him to be let off? Luckily, unlike certain other ethnic groups, Sikhs don't seem to kick off at the slightest percieved provocation, but this could easily have escalated into violent demonstrations or worse.
