Try using Afrin nasal spray. I head that clears congestion for up to 12 hours. Drink plenty of juice and water as that will help your sore throat. If you can try to take some vitamin C and zinc. Chicken soup helps when you have a cold too. If you have a humidifier or vaporizer use it. It will put moisture into the air that will help relieve your sore throat and help you breathe better. I had this cold too. It lasts about a week.

Apart from the excellent advice others have provided about rest, fluids, vitamin C and symptomatic medication for your throat and nose, Zinc (eg Zicam) has been shown to decrease the duration of common cold symptoms. You should be able to get this in various forms at your pharmacy. Not sure it will get you better in time for tomorrow but it might help make you feel better in a shorter time.

Take Airborne (http://www.airbornehealth.com/), it really does help the cold and makes you feel a lot better within hours. You can get it at drugstores like Walsgreen or CVS.

I would suggest a lot of bed rest, don't go outside, and eat a lot of chicken soup. I would suggest taking Tylenol Coolburst because it helps you fall asleep fast.

Good luck, and I hope you feel better in time for Christmas!

Just make sure to go to bed early and get lots of rest or even sleep today if you can. That's about all you can do. Get cough drops to soothe your throat. You're doing all the right things.

Merry Christmas!
