Chicken pox can be transmitted through fomites. If you visit, come home and change your clothes and take a shower before handling the baby.

I didnt know people had problems with shingles on their roof. If you preffer you can instal those mexican style roof coverings. They are called tejas in Spanish. They are nice. But dont worry about your daughter liking shingles, everyone has their own taste in roof coverings, maybe one day she will change and too will like tajas. Give it time sweetheart, we are all indeviduals.

Yes, your mom has adult chicken pox. If you baby hasn't been vaccinated against chicken pox you can and probably will expose the baby.
