I need to burn fat and gain muscle in my legs(upper legs mostly), I am doing track this spring. How can I do this fast and quickly? I have about 2 months maybe 3. Also are there any ways to gain any muscle while just inside? It's getting really cold here so I need some ways to gain muscle inside the house. Any tips are appreciated, currently i run a 10 minute mile=(

You can't do it quickly. If you try to do too much too fast you will injure yourself. Start where you are strength-wise, and slowing add repetitions and increases in weight to your exercises.

The best single exercise I can think of for winter is to carry a heavy box up and down stairs. This will build your whole body but will really work your legs. Start with a box you can easily handle and put more and more things in it as the days go by. Never do this to the point of exhaustion. You could fall on the stairs and ruin everything.

For muscle building:
Leg lifts, these are difficult to do without proper machinery though.
Squats
Lunges

You lose fat in your legs just like you do every other place, with cardio exercise. If you don't feel like going outside hope you get a treadmill or stationary bike for Christmas (It will also take massive amounts of cardio to get your heart rate up to track and field standards)
