You're standing on train tracks and infront of you is a lever that switches the route of the train from one track to another. As you being to wonder why you are standing there, you realize that this is a riddle and you're standing there to make a choice.
The sound of the train's whistle hurtling down the tracks wakes you up. In less than a few seconds, the train will pass by you. As you look to your right, you see 30 people working on the tracks, the train will crush them very soon, and there is not time to warn them. You want to pull the lever to deter the course of the train to the other track, but you realize that on the other track, there are 10 other workers.
The train is almost there...
Do you pull the lever and save 30 people and in turn kill another 10, for isn't it morally justifiable to spare more lives?
Or do you let the train go down its own path, in which you let 30 die at the expense of 10?
What would you do and how would you justify your action on all grounds
