What do you think of the British Government's treatment of the British Motorist ?

I think they should try to make public transport better. If buses were better, I would use them. But I used to get abuse from other passengers, things thrown at me, bus drivers coming on to me and drunken idiots being sick on me. Not to mention they were always late so I would have to stand around for ages. Thats why I got a car and now the government want me to pay even more money for it. Is road tax not enough? Now thay want to charge by the mile and do this environment tax? I think the government are just being greedy myself. Want more money to fill the coffers pockets more like.

The Government are milking us.
Our politicians look on the motor car like a "cash cow" and they love milking it - unfortunately for the motorist.
The new idea is to put Tolls on all roads worth going on and that lead anywhere you want to go.
Congestion charges in every City worth visiting.
We are going back 100 years in that soon people will not travel any more and will all stay home in their village and intermarry.
The UK has become a police state, where only the police and politicians can travel on the roads free of charge and exceed the speed limit without being fined.
Once they introduce the ID card they will know where we are at all times and restrict our travel to desired destinations and times.
Wait a moment this is what the USSR used to do I knew it could not be an original thought for our politicians.

Thats great aint it, you will get lots of people moaning about the tax and the speed cameras did you know where I live there are nearly 300 speed cameras, I sent a letter to my MP I stop and tell the mobile camera opporator what I think of them and that they actually are not in a accident black spot but I could take them to plenty of death trap road, but there is not much traffic.
what the country needs is direct action to stop all of this happening, not moaners.

only 30% of road tax is actually spent on the roads,
