Not sure about episode - but my favorite prank is in the episode titled "The Last Tempatation of Homer".

At school, Bart and Milhouse play a prank: they paint new dividing lines in the parking lot.

Bart: The beauty of it is, each parking space is a mere one foot
narrower -- indistinguishable to the naked eye! But therein
lies the game.
Milhouse: I fear to watch, yet I cannot turn away.

Watch, he does. Principal Skinner pulls into an empty spot between two cars, parks, and tries to open his door.

Skinner: Blast it, woman! You parked too close. Move your car!
Edna: I'm in the lines! You got a problem, go tell your Mama.
Skinner: Oh, don't worry: she'll hear about this.

Complete chaos ensues in the rest of the parking lot. "I can't get
out!" one man yells. "I'm trapped," observes Miss Hoover. "I can't breathe!" says another. Bart laughs evilly at the success of his prank.

Favorite actual episode - too many to name, but I love the ones where they go to different countries: like when they go to Australia and Bart has to be kicked by that official boot, and then releases his frogs into the country so it becomes overrun with them. Or when they go to Japan. Or London. :o) I also like the one with the Band Camp where they have TOm Petty, the Rolling Stones all there to teach them how to play guitar and be a rock and roll god, etc. The one where Homer is forced to go to New York and his car gets booted, and everyone else in his family has a great time in NY and he's stuck driving home with the stinkin' boot on his car. That's such a great episode, too!

God, it's just too hard to pick just one episode!!

Oh ya Lemon of Troy is a brilliant episode - wait, theres a lemon behind that rock ha ha. My favourite episodes are - Where Homer goes back to college. The cat burglar. Marge becomes a cop. Homer "sexually assaults" the babysitter. Bart discovers a comet. The list goes on...

Oh, I forgot about the insanity pepper episode. That one was too funny. And then the halloween one where Homer's in 3D and travels through time with a toaster.

I have a couple....the stand outs are
"The shining" which has always been a big fav in my house.......
as is "Angry dad" - where Homer is portrayed in Barts comic book strip as always being angry (a la hulk)

lesser favs but still funny as hell....
"see my vest" is another great episode.....
"ss pinafore" Bart and Bob (a la cape fear)
and the episode where homer fakes his death and his mother returns......."How many roads must a man walk down, before you can call him a man" ........"7" , "Dad, its a rhetorical question" ........."Rhetorical eh' 8" , ......"do you even know what rhetorical means" .....hehehhehehe fits of laughter here everytime.......
