I remember seeing a movie when I was a kid. It was a cartoon about a male scientist who, through some means that I have forgotten, was brought into a sort of 'magical' realm where dragons existed. I recall that the guy didn't believe that they could possibly be real, but there one was. In the end he figures out that dragons consume limestone, which produces some gas, which they ignite with a sort of sparking device in their mouths.
The moral of the show seemed to be that science had overcome ignorance and that the scientist sort of had this doubting moment where he believed that maybe science had failed him...but then he had this sort of epiphany about the nature of the dragons' fire and everything started to make sense to him.
I recall seeing this in school, so it may have been purely an educational movie. I also don't specifically remember the length, but I doubt it was a full-length feature film or anything. I've been searching for it for years! :)
