Well, I don't need to rant, but I have been a waitress (now they call us servers) for over 10 years. Yes, I am sick of it, which is why I decided to go to college. Now I get to go to school all week, and serve ungrateful people all weekend. What bothers me the most about the job is how people look down on me because of what I do for a living. They think it reflects on my intelligence. Sometimes they treat me like I am not even a person. I am invisible to them, unless they need something from me. Not all people are like that, or I couldn't keep doing the job, but I wish people would realize that I am a real, thinking, breathing person. I just want to rub it in their faces that I have a 4.0 GPA, and am probably more intelligent than they can even hope to be. When I am finished with college I will have a better job than they do, and even as a server I make more money than most of them. While there are some good people out there, I have learned just how mean and stupid humanity can be to those they think they are better than. Wow, and when I started this I didn't think I was going to rant! Thanks for giving me this opportunity.

I was a waitress at Hooters for 2 years. I just recently stopped. At first I had a great time and loved the attention but after a while it got hard on me. For one, I was constantly worn out and tired, my legs would be killing me, I had drunken men falling all over me, and it got quite unbearable. It was actually good money but there comes a time where you just have to move on from your current surroundings, and that's what I have done.

I was and I hated it. I made like $ 2 per hour . I worked with a bunch of idiots, snobby preppy girls. Couldn't stand it and I'm glad I finished school and have the job I have. Tips were okay. The customers were very nice. Girls were jealous that the same person gave me like $30 every time.
