Delete all your temp files and cookies, then go to search (from the Start button) and type: *.tmp.files , delete more if the system found more to get rid of.

It seems that there is a virus in your computer. Try to run "regedit" from the Start->Run.
go to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main"
Change the "Start Page" value to your desire once. If you can't open the Registry go to http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2006-120714-3935-99&tabid=3
and follow the instructions.

do a reinstall of internet explorer and update it to internet explorer 7.
Or switch to firefox, safe, faster, and better UI (user interface)
