Agree with Sarebeardragon but what happened to the 3 weeks off from school that we used to have. We always broke up at least a week before Christmas Day and never went back before the 8th January. Why not add a week on at this time of year and take a week off of the Summer holidays?

If you mean state schools they start generally either tomorrow or Thursday. Most private schools broke up last week

lol that just pleased my kids no end finding out the schools in england break up tomorrow they finish on friday here go back 5th jan.

Different Local Authorities choose different dates, but I think most break up this week - my kids' last day is Thurs 21st.
