A film of Jesse Owens's famous long in the 1936 Olympics shows that his center of mass rose 1.1 m from launch point to the top of the arc. What minimum speed did he need at launch if he was traveling at 6.5 m/s at the top of the arc. Please tell me HOW to get to the answer cuz I dont even know how to start it...

My specialist sayd that there is sometimes a "honeymoon" period with diabetes. He explained that when first diagnosed it is very managable and that I should find it easy to keep my sugar under control. But because it's type 1 I will most likely end up on insulin. I am finding it very easy to control my sugar, I have stuck to a strict diet and my sugar has stayed between 5 and 6 for the last week, without meds. I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this "honeymoon" period and if all type 1s end up on insulin?

hey since you do not believe in God, or any religion of man,why then do you follow them. How might you ask? Hollidays perhaps? Valintines,Holloween, Christmass? they are all of so called mans religions. to be an athiest (which know one cannot prove they are) you have to deny these things, yet i have seen many so called athiests pratice them. Why is that?

Ok so I was friends with this guy for over a year, and we were best friends. Then we got into a ton of fights and are no longer friends, and both of us were okay with that. Suddenly the day we got out for christmas break he gave me a card, nothing big really it just said happy holidays. I thought we were enemies, so getting that from him was REALLY confusing. I asked him about it, and he pointed out a historical event our teacher told us about. During WWI two opposing sides stoped fighting on christmas day and had dinner together, the following day they went back to fighting just as they had done before. This was his peace offering for one day, so I pointed out that after the two sides had dinner one day, they went back to fighting just as they had before. His response was "mm...that's correct". So basically he was messing with me by giving me the card. I've tried really hard not to act like a bit** towards him, but I can't believe he would do that. Why is he such a jerk?

ok i ve been taking martial art class and the master's daugther and I are really good friends. I do kind of like her a bit and i m not sure does she like me back. she talks to me all the time online. and for christmas she gaved me a key chain that she made herself and she said it took her a while and dont lose it. and she said she made it the colors i like and stuff. but the thing is her parents (my master) doesn't let her date unitl after college. so what should i do? do think she even interested?

Why is it that people sometimes refer to the Bible as a "fairy tale" or refer to it as a childrens story book , but yet on the other hand read their zodiac sign/ horoscopes religiously? I have heard some argue that the Bible was written by men and therefore not accurate, but yet they believe that their horoscopes are accurate. When I would be willing to bet that the horoscopes in the past 10 years have been written by more people than the Bible.

My 4 year old came down with an ear ifection today.
Hes been on numerous antibiotics since October for sinus infections and prevention of skin infection for a recent chicken pox out break.

Do any of you know of a homeopathic way of curring an ear infection, or is the normal antibiotic way the only way to get rid of one??
