In California, can u have sex w/ someone u're age if u're under 18 but older than 14?

I know the Age of Consent is 18 but does that apply if the guy is u're age and u're older than 14?

As long as they are under 18 also, yes.

I think it is illegal to have sex if you are not 16 or older, period. If somebody over that age has sex with somebody younger than 16, it is considered statutory rape, even if both were willing.
