Why is it that people sometimes refer to the Bible as a "fairy tale" or refer to it as a childrens story book , but yet on the other hand read their zodiac sign/ horoscopes religiously? I have heard some argue that the Bible was written by men and therefore not accurate, but yet they believe that their horoscopes are accurate. When I would be willing to bet that the horoscopes in the past 10 years have been written by more people than the Bible.

Lemme rephrase a bit, I believe in the Bible, I never said I didn't. I am kind of just wondering how can someone say to me it is a fairy tale because it was written by many men. My argument is this, "is not the horoscopes written by many people?" And by people who were not instructed what to write? Also before I get any bashing, I mock no religion or no belief, and I am not going to preach that one's answer is wrong, I just wanted a comparison of why someone can say one thing about something that was written by men and yet in the same breath uphold a daily printout in a newspaper written by who knows whom. Sorry Yahoo is not really designed to ask a long question so I had to shorten it up some then add details.

Most people believe what is convenient and comforting for them to believe in. Believing a horoscope demands no moral conduct, no responsibility. This sort of gullible person simply wants to be told that their life is okay as is and likely to change for the better with no effort on their part. They migh complain the Bible is 'irrelevant' or 'long, dull, and difficult to read' but rarely dismiss it entirely (they like to hedge their bets).

I think so. Scorpios are a bunch of contradictions and multiple layers so I think that they definitely are the best at hiding their real selves. I think they do it all the time no matter who they're with. Not sure why they like their privacy, I can only guess it's because they are afraid of weakness and their own insecurity and showing it to someone else would be shameful. I'm a Virgo and I don't necessarily "hide" my true self - I am who I am regardless, but there are parts of me I keep separate from people with which I interact. Like I would never show that I am an emotional person. Not sure about other signs but from experience I say that Air and Fire signs are who they are - nothing to figure out, they're open books.

You had better hope the Bible is a fairy tale because if there is one chance in a 1000 it's not you will stand before God almighty and cry for mercy just before you are cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20: 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. zodiac is more of a fairy tale.
the bible contains a lot of middle east history. who were the kings, who lived where, battles that were fought, life as it was 2-4000 years ago.

The bible. And I don't look at the zodiac religiously. I'm a witch and I'll tell you that the zodiac and tarot cards are just for fun. They mean absolutely nothing.

niether is nessicarily a fairy tale. the bible is very religious, and what alot of ppl mistake is that zodiacs are not. they are just signs to help people try and understand things.

I have read several books on both western and eastern astrology. I am at the point where I can sometimes guess if a person's astrology sign is of the fire, earth, air, or water element (of western astrology). So, I go more with horoscopes.
Okay, I saw your edit.
I believe in astrology, but those daily horoscopes are crap. Only in-depth astrology is works.
