if you are burning off more calories then you take in, you will lose weight,,,,,,,,, if you eat as much as you burn off you will stay the same, and if you eat more then you burn off, you will gain,,,,,
i suggest starting a exercise program slowly,,, start out with 30 mins a day, of whatever you can tolerate, maybe walking, jogging etc,,,,,, and try to have a healthy diet,,,, then when you get to the weight you want, then yes you can manage it by putting in more exercise when you eat more,,,,,
what i do,,,,, besides the 30 mins a day,, is if i have eaten more i get up and jog or dance during tv commercials, if im watching it, or else stick in an extra 15 mins to my daily exercise,
but, its important to know your body, what amount of exercising it takes to be at the weight you want, along with what diet you are eating,,,,,, so controlling the diet first, then slowly adding more food in, is a good approach,,,

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Sure. but depending on what you eat and how you exercise means you'll lose either fat or muscle. But if your only goal is to lose a few digits on the scale, exercise away! for every 3500 calories burned from exercise, you'll lose 1 LB of weight, but don't forget to add-in what you ate.

Only if you're burning more calories than you consume in a day. Figure out your BMR (google bmr calculator) then find out your AMR (active metobolic rate) by using google again. You probably burn about 2000 calories per day. I wouldn't overassume how much you burn, because you're only doing it for yourself, and giving yourself too much leeway will just mean you see no progress.
Now then, there are 3500 calories in a pound of fat.
So, let's say you find out you burn 2000 calories per day on your own. Then you eat 2000 calories that day. This means you have burned nothing on your own. You will stay at the exact same weight. If you exersize (your AMR takes into account your lifestyle, so walking from class to class or whatever is already in it. Excersize at this point is the only way) then you will start to lose. If you burn 500 per day, you will lose a pound every week.

its the other way around. you need to eat much less food.
and healthier food. no saturated fats , no beef. lots of fresh cooked vegetables, lots of water. v-8 juice no OJ or sweet drinks
then get on an exercise program of walking briskly for an hour every day. if you have the integrity to follow this program, you will lose weight

It all depends on FIT (frequency Intensity Time) and if u over eat then you will see no progress.
p.s do not take exercising as an excuse to overeat.
