Every year I make my own cranberry sauce with cointreau and every year I serve it on boxing day with a ham/pates and cheeses. People are so complimentary about it, I would like to make a few extra jars as gifts. However, I really want to do this today as we are going away for a few days. Will it keep in a sterilized jar, in the fridge from lets say today, until January 1st? I would be grateful for you thoughts/experience.

My son has had a Teddy bear since he was 4 months and would sleep with it and take it everywhere, the problem is it is now LOST and he crys for it all the time. I found one on E-bay just like it, and it should be here next week.so my question is how should I give it to him, I'm not sure if he will know that it is not his.
