Weher is the pain? Im no doctor, but you could have torn your stomach lining a bit, which would feel like a paper cut, especially if you cant keep anything down. Did the pain start after you started being ill? If so, this could have caused the rip in the lining. Trying to eat through this wont give your body time to recouporate, so go for soups and multi vitamin tablets til it subsides. I suffered this once before myself, it got to the stage when I was bringing up some of the lining too. Go see your doc, they may wish to prescribe antibiotics to fight against any infections you may be open to whilst you recover. Wishing you well

Given your most excellent description i would say it is a sharp pain in your stomach, as the other person said it may be a kidney stone. Has i have suffered with these for 15 years i can tell you if it is the pain is far worse than anything you have had in the past. Seek medical help, you can lose a kidney if you don't.

Your gall bladder is on the left-hand side of your stomach.

One of my co-workers had a gall bladder attack; she ignored her symptoms and ended up in the emergency room, and she had to have it removed.

I'm just going by experience, though; there are quite a few organs and whatnot in that area of your body; it could be kidney-related, it could be intestinal blockage... it could really be anything, and there's no way to gauge the severity of it by that description. How long has it been like that... hours, days... weeks?

I'd have to suggest though, if the pain isn't abating and you're not keeping food down, it's probably wise to get it checked out. It'll probably get worse before it gets better.

Best of luck...

The lower left quadrant of the abdomen contains the bottom of the left kidney, sigmoid colon, urinary bladder(if distended), left ovary, uterus, and left uretur. This could mean a variety of things, it could be you are constipated...most likely, or you could have a UTI, or...pregnancy concerns.
