I believe that it is human nature to judge other people. A trait that I'm not too proud of.
Media has created stereotypes that people tend to believe in. It's a subconscious thing now since we have been so exposed to it.
say I'm wearing black nail polish and black clothes. What would you think of me? Believe it or not YOU just assumed you knew my life and my personality just based on my appearance.
Everyone does it. That doesn't mean that you are stupid or bored... just human.

Once someone told me that he can get a lot of info about me because of the medallion I was wearing (a unique ceramic black and white stylized flower) and my appearance in general. I guess I ruined his theories because after a week he was completely lost and confused by my unpredictable self! Oh, well... *smile*.
It's easier to label people once you meet them and start from there to get a better and more real view on who they are and where they come from. If they don't hang on to those labels and are open-minded I don't care what they labeled me as initially. I assume stuff about people just like anyone else. I assume a teacher would know their subject and doctors won't faint when they see blood (even if I will). I assume someone with pink hair is non-conventional (even if I ended up with purple hair by mistake once). Everyone assumes stuff!
