ok, so bills are sucking my life dry. i live with my parents and we all join our money together to pay the bills. sometimes, we cant even pay some things, other times we pay them late...wutever. thing is, i have a second job that i make a little extra cash. usually i would use this money for gas or something. i been saving up a little every week to have a nice xmas in where we can all forget about everything and i wanted to bu them and my boyfriend at least one small gift. knowing that i have this money in my possesion and knowing that theres some stuff htat needs to be paid (eventhough all i really have is like $140) i just feel bad and dont know if i should just let go of the money, or sacrifice a little to make someone else happy...

My brother & I have been having problems. He's extremely disrespectful. I have no contact with him except when our mother invites us both over to her house. On Thanksgiving my brother ate & ran literally!!! Should I say this to my mother "If you want to have a separate Christmas with X that is fine with my husband & I. We don't want anyone to be uncomfortable nor spend time with us if they really don't want to."

My "family" and I have no contact. There are no phone calls and rare visits. I have no idea why my mother wants to try & play this game of having Christmas together. There were years when we didn't have Christmas together. A few years ago for a period of 2 years she didn't call me and I didn't call her. I don't understand the need to live out a lie. My husband views it as us having a place to go to spend time. I view it as a Walton lie. We're not the Waltons why pretend that we are? Would you recommend celebrating on different days?

My son is starting to refuse his baby food and cereal because he knows at the end of the meal he gets the Gerber Puffs and toast, which he wants. Neither is very nutritious, but he is very eager to eat them. (BTW - those puffs have 25 calories per 80 puffs!!! A great training food maybe, but no calories for a little one who maybe gets 15 in the mouth!!) What are some other foods that he can use his fingers on that are more nutritious? I am particuarly interested in protein sources considering he doesn't take much breastmilk/formula these days either. THANKS GUYS!!

My daughter's boyfriend noticed a large puddle of oil on the garage floor and called my daughter at work. When she looked at her car, there was no oil. A co-worker helped her add some oil, but 'there was oil spraying everywhere'. What could be the cause? Is it worth repairing? and if so, are the repairs expensive?

Ok guys....I done it!!! Got my navel pierced last night and didn't feel a blasted thing. NADA, ZIP, ZERO.....it was a walk in the park. Thanks for all the advice and all the pep talk. It didn't even bleed. Even after..still hasn't hurt. Just a little uncomfortable this morning when I got up and I am being xtra, xtra careful about my pants and things. Ok...so next thing....how long before I can change it? She just told me to wash with dial anti-bacterial soap and nothing else. So, what do you think?

I have a problem sleeping. I eat dinner around 6:30 or so every night. I always get enough calories throughout the day, and I have tried eating a small snack before bed (Ive tried high fiber, high protein so I stay full). However, I have been waking up in the middle of the night to eat a snack. I wake up and dont even think about it. I just go get a snack. Peopl say just dont get up or just get a drink, and Ive tried that. Its so weird and I dont know how to stop!! Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to stop?
