I have a problem sleeping. I eat dinner around 6:30 or so every night. I always get enough calories throughout the day, and I have tried eating a small snack before bed (Ive tried high fiber, high protein so I stay full). However, I have been waking up in the middle of the night to eat a snack. I wake up and dont even think about it. I just go get a snack. Peopl say just dont get up or just get a drink, and Ive tried that. Its so weird and I dont know how to stop!! Has anyone experienced this? What can I do to stop?

Go ahead and get that snack, and eat smaller portions during the day.

That is because you eat so early thats why you have a need to eat at that time.
Try these things, but remember that they wont ensure immediate result, because you have to erase your night activities:
1. Try to drink something like fruit juice or say milk shakes just before sleeping.
2. Try to exercise in the evening that say a walk or a jog or something like that... that will ensure a good night sleep and therefore you will slowly and slowly unlearn to have midnight snack.
3. Make yourself busy particularly in the evening time, so much that you will just sleep at around, 10-10:30.
4. Be patient and try this for say atleast 1 month.

As long as your snacking on something healthy I don't see why this is a problem. If you're consuming an extra few hundred calories and not even realizing it or enjoying it then there's reason to worry but it's something habitual as you said. Let yourself have the snack but make it a carrot stick.
