how does Jill Greenberg do those photos? the ones she did with Gwen Stefani. Her skin is shinny and the eyes re brighter. Do you know of any photoshop techniques or photography techniques to mimick the effect?

We've been married 7 years next week. We have 2 kids--a daughter who is 6 and a son who is 3. We were drifting apart well before now. Effectively, neither of us felt loved by the other. She had the affair with a man she worked with. The affair lasted about a month. They went out to eat and such, and during that period, she had sex with him once.
I found out about it 4 weeks ago, and she broke it off with him. We have been going to counseling, and she and I have recommitted to each other. She has repeatedly and profusely apologized for the entire affair, and I sincerely believe she is regretful, and that she won't do it again. I love her dearly, and I know now that she loves me, but she made a mistake.

The problem is with me. I still feel very hurt and I can't bring myself to forgive her for it. I want to badly, because I see her cry about it from guilt. I can't ask her to apologize for it forever. How do I get past it? I love her and have no intentions of leaving her.

Uncle Tom’s Cabin would have angered Southerners because it show that slaves were human and had feelings. Tom is depicted as a martyr because he is willing to sacrifice his freedom for the other slaves on Mr. Shelby’s plantation. This makes Tom appear to be human, and not just a piece of property that the Southerners thought slaves were. The Southerners would argue that the Mr. Shelby was doing the slaves a favor. They would say that without Mr. Shelby the slaves would have no food or place to live.


Are there any gramar mistakes? (expecially caps. and apostrophes) I don't really need to change its content, just grammar, and any suggestions for a concluding sentence?

I live in the Bay Area and drive to work on 101. On the freeway, I pass "signs" that give you automated estimates of driving times to various destinations (e.g. 10 minutes to 237, 25 minutes to 280, etc). These signs are updated dynamically, presumably to reflect current traffic conditions, and I have found them to generally be pretty accurate.

But my question is this: does anyone know how they actually work? Is there a traffic helicopter taking pictures and some human expert who then guessimates based on these pictures and updates the sign? Is it automatically counting the number of cars that pass certain checkpoints in a given time period and estimating based on that?

What is actually going on? Does anyone know for sure how these signs work?

I had a leak in our bathtub the other night (that has since been fixed)... in the next room though, there was a large water spot in the middle of the floor... at first I thought my daughter had spilled something not connecting the two. Today, the large water spot has grown to cover about 3 feet of area. It is completely soaked... I have a fan blowing on it but it isn't helping. First- do you think that the bathtub leak would have caused this and second- how do I dry the carpet- it is starting to smell musty already... please help!!! thanks.
