My 12 week old is getting up once a night for a bottle. The thing is she is up for an hour or during that feeding. Getting up is not the problem it is staying up for so long that is getting tireing. We usually like to keep her upright for 30 minutes after a bottle. We have been doing this even during the middle of the night feeding. I just wonder if she is getting used to bieng up that long. How should we feed her in the middle of the night?

So Bloomberg decided that because he's a health nut, and because he can, all NY restaurants will no longer be allowed to use Trans Fats in their food. There's two deadlines...July 1st 2007 for some places and July 1st 2008 for others. It's not about the Trans Fat thing at all but, since when did we get politicians telling us what we can and can't eat? Not saying that Trans Fat is good, but regardless, if I wanna eat a "fat fry", let me. It's VERY upsetting to see that the land of the free is taking away so many freedoms...yes, it always starts with the little things....I wouldn't be surprised if there will be a law banning us from picking our nose, or whatever crazy thing these politicians come up with. They started with the smoking ban, now the fat thing...and this is only the beginning. They need to worry about the big things, and leave the other things up to us: We need to make our own decisions and soon, THEY will make them for us. It's scary.

We managed to acheive this last winter, and hope to again this year. The fireplace has lost much of it's ambience, but at least the bills are lower, right?

I find that Winamp Pro has the best features, the coolest skins, the best sound. Which mp3 program do you think is the best, and if theres one out there with more features than Winamp, I'd love to try it? (I hate AOL and the fact that they own Winamp kinds irks me, but I havent found one with 1/2 the features.)

I am thinking of visiting San Diego and San Fransisco this holiday (24Dec. to 1st Jan). I will fly to San Diego first, then take a bus trip to San Fransisco. I can fly back to Toronto from either San Diego or San Fransisco. Please advise where to stay, what to do, what to avoid and which bus/tour I could use to go to San Fransisco.

I've heard that one reason why Gore was unpopular with so many people in 2000 was because he came across as pompous and intellectually arrogant, whereas Bush came across as just plain, simple folk. I've also heard that that was the reason why Adlai Stevenson lost during the 50s. I once also heard a conservative commentator say that we should depend more on Midwestern "common sense" rather than East Coast "intellect". It just sounded like empty political rhetoric to me, but I have to ask, what's wrong with being an intellectual and being erudite? It reminds me so much of high school, and I have to say that the nerds would probably have a better idea of how to run things than the dumb jocks.

Two old ladies are outside their nursing home, having a drink and a
smoke, when it starts to rain. One of the old ladies pulls out a condom, cuts off the end, puts it over her cigarette, and continues smoking.
Maude: What in the hell is that?
Mabel: A condom. This way my cigarette doesn't get wet.
Maude: Where did you get it?
Mabel: You can get them at any drugstore.

The next day, Maude hobbles herself into the local drugstore and
announces to the pharmacist that she wants a box of condoms. The pharmacist, obviously embarrassed, looks at her kind of strangely
(she is after all, over 80 years of age), but very delicately asks what brand of condom she prefers.

"Doesn't matter Sonny, as long as it fits on a Camel."

The pharmacist fainted.

She's my friend, she started living with me in October, but made friends with my ex, and ushered along our break up. She said she didn't like us together anyway. We had a weak relationship, and we both used her as a confidant, and so it dissolved. I went places with her, and spent most of my time at my ex's. But after the break up I spent a lot of time at my place. We still went places, but at times I wanted to stay home...she didn't like that, and she got mad one day when she TOLD me we were going somewhere and I said no. She called my ex and told him all her gripes about me. She said my stuff was no good and I should get new cooking/eating supplies because she deemed them unfit to use. She didn't like my apartment(it's a rathole...to her). We're somewhat blind, but she gets her dishes cleaner than I. She says I have dirty dishes on purpose. I think they're clean unless I seethe dirt later or am shown it...then it's re-washed. Just b/c she sees things i don't, she doesn't believe my
