People keep telling me if I have BT Broadband, I should have a BT e-mail address, I swear I don't. I wasn't given a proper activation thingy, (I don't think) when I signed up, BT have told me they don't supply an e-mail address now.
Then today someone said Yahoo was BT, so how do I get a BT e-mail account? I need one for some web sites in order to register...

If you have BT Broadband "Basic" (the cheapest flavour they offer) then you don't get an email address. If you *really* need an ISP-provided email address then consider upgrading your connection.

Alternatively, try setting up an email account with a lesser-known free email provider. Perhaps if you find an obscure enough one then you'll get around the blocked list of the website you're trying to sign up with.

Bt broadband package does not get you a BT email addy.... (I've been through this so many times.... if you have an alternate email address just use that.

BT email packages are sold seperately (but you can get a special package if you have subscribed to BT broadband)

Most other Broadband suppliers throw in an email package for free.

BT acquired Yahoo about 1.5 years ago and Yahoo is now BT yahoo.

There are several different suppliers of free email accounts (Yahoo & hotmail (MSN) are the first that spring to mind)

you should have an email account associated with your yahoo ID or you can certainly register to upgrade to an email account (i think you can even use your current yahoo ID as your email address)

yahoo work with BT in partneship to provide services. Why do you want BT email anyway? Hotmail is the best and it is run by microsoft and if you have never used MSN you havent lived!
Search for www.Hotmail.co.uk on google get a free email account and down load messenger 7.5 or 8, you will never look back
