If a practice pagan is sharing a residence with another person, yet keeps their religion to themselves?

A question to ask is, "If I have found truth, why do I feel the need to hoard it for myself? And if I feel the need to hide what I feel is true, is it really Truth?"

It's not wrong to hide a set of beliefs and practices if they are harming no one else. It is wrong to hide the Truth of God.

So, to answer your question, no, it's not wrong to hide your paganism. It is wrong to outright lie about it if asked.

Depends. Is this pagan scared that the other person will kick him/her out for his/her religion? Or has the topic just never come up? I think it's wrong if the reason why this pagan is hiding is from fear and then, if asked, lies about his/her religion. IF you are in a situation where your roommate won't understand your choice, look for a new place to live.

If it's just because the topic never came up and the pagan has nothing to fear, then there is no problem.

No. Why would that be wrong? Religion is a personal thing and many Pagans are grossly misunderstood and have had to deal with a lot of negativity directed at them for their beliefs.

It is not wrong. Religion is a personal and private. The other person may object if you don't believe the same way they do. So unless they ask you or make a big deal about it, keep it private.

If the other person is a Christian they have no business sharing a home with you according to the word of God.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

It's not wrong. You may just be respecting their space and privacy. I've always felt that my religion is on a need-to-know basis, but I love freaking my roommates out, so I tell them point-blank that I am a Wiccan and I will be practicing. Usually they're fine with it, but sometimes I wish I had kept my mouth shut.

In your case, if you haven't told them by now, why should you? Don't lie to them, but don't flaunt it, either.

Yes. The person you lives with needs to know. Mostly because she needs to be able ot trust you and how can she if you don't trust her. Most people won't care what religion you are. The worst she can do is try to get you to change... you signed a lease right?

Not at all. If more people would keep their religion to themselves, this would be a better world.

Anyone not following God is following Satan. Do you want Satan's influence in your home if you are a God fearing person?? Do you want God's influence in your home if you are practicing Satanic things?? What harmony could their possibly be between the two??
