I just moved to a new apartment, and the living room is very small. The cabinets in the open kitchen/living room are red laminate with silver handles, i guess it's trying to be modern looking, and one wall in the living room is painted red, the others are white, and its darker hardwood floor. The kitchen is visible from living room, it's red cabinets, white appliances, and dark greenish granite counter. I have no idea what my color scheme should be! What color sofa should I get that goes with a red wall? I want a contemporary style, but kind of retro looking maybe.

Isn't it funny how women rush to defend themselves when a man dares to put them in their place? They are not superior or equal to men in anything other than what they were made for - to look after men. There is no room for discussion on this point, it is a fact. So get back to you kitchens, and also learn to spell! All women are interested in is fashion and celebrities, and trying to be as good as men. They can't park a car, big or small, they're not safe on the road. They can't hold their drink, and are totally unreasonable. They want to be fussed over all the time. The sooner we find an artificial woman the better, one who knows her place and does as she is told. Right on Dave!

Hundreds of people may have been killed in the heaviest fighting between northern Sudanese forces and their former southern rebel foes since they signed a peace deal last year, a top southern officer said on Thursday.

In Nigeria's capital Abuja, the African Union decided to extend for six months the mandate of its peacekeeping force in Sudan's western Darfur region, where a separate conflict has killed an estimated 200,000 people since early 2003.

Why do the government forces kill so many?

How is the government financing the war?

What foreign governments are supporting this?

What foreign governments are opposing this?

The pastoralist need the land for grazing.
The farmers need the land for growing crops.

Is it just a question fo feeding the nation?

It has been proved time and again that if a piece of land is used for growing crops it will support more humans than if it's used for rearing cattle for the meat. Most Asian countries flourish just on vegetarian food and some fish.

Good Day!

I am a Filipino college student and I'm currently taking up Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. I am planning to take up my master's and doctor's degree in Stanford university. I would like to ask the requirements to be completed for me to be admitted in the said university. Would it be difficult for me to be admitted with the fact that I came from a Philippine school? If it would be difficult, what school will recommend? Thanks.

Hi everyone. Thanks to those of you who answered my questions about my nana - but I'm not the only one who's been upset this week! My work colleague has just confided in me about a girl in another section who he has been friends with for like, a year. He started dating her then cheated on him and dumped him. He's miserable and he's never like that, always sprightly and chatty. We've never really spoken before now, so I was surprised and a little humbled that he chose me as a confidant. I've tried to say all I can, and mostly I've just listened, but I feel as though I can't say enough. What advice can you give me? Is there anything I can do to make him feel a little better?

Does the fact that have to shame people into contributing say something about the poor management of the Red Cross? I mean wouldn't you give freely without the shame tactic if it was a worthy group?

I'd like the viewpoint of real Christians on this.

We all know that a married person having sex with someone not their spouse is adultery and so is lusting after someone in our hearts.

My question is, if I love someone who is not my spouse and I do not engage in any physical intimacy, is that also adultery?

Would really like God's full definition on "adultery".

My mum's mini-foxie dog can put his head underwater to retrieve things - usually food. We did a little experiment using a bit of food and a container of water to see if our other dogs could stick their head underwater to get the bit of food. None of them could except Duke. Even if there is a muddy puddle of water with something floating on the top, he has to get it out. Its soooo cute because little bubbles come out of his nose.
