old shep was sung by numerous people a top thirty hit only in the uk by CLINTON FORD but it is associated with elvis because he became more popular and itwas published on many of his albums, unfortunately he never made it into the uk charts with that particular song, dissapointing really as i am an elvis fan of more than 35 years.

I don't know about old shep but Jim Reeves did Old Tige. It was the B side to Distant Drums and it still makes me cry if I even think about it.
