Matthew 7:7-8, Matthew 18:19-20, Matthew 21:21-22, Mark 11:24-25, Luke 11:9-13, John 14:13-14, John 15:7, John 15:16, and John 16:23-24
Lesson: Jesus Christ was a pathological liar.
Sorry, thats 9 verses. I know you only asked for 5...
If you read Matthew 7:7-8, Matthew 18:19-20, Matthew 21:21-22, Mark 11:24-25, Luke 11:9-13, John 14:13-14, John 15:7, John 15:16, John 16:23-24, Jesus clearly says that if you pray in his name he will answer your prayers, not that he will think about it. Jesus claimed repeatedly that he would answer all the prayers of the faithful who prayed in his name as a testiment to Gods glory.
Take John 14:13-14 (NAB) for example: And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.
"Whatever you ask in my name, I will do" is pretty cut and dried. There's really no room in that statement for error in understanding the meaning, nor is there room to interpret it as "Pray in my name, and I'll do what I think is best for you."
Now obviously Jesus can't answer every prayer that each Christian makes in his name. Aside from just being silly, it would create chaos in the world of, dare I say, Biblical proportions.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
I learned that even if children don't seem like they "get" what you are teaching them, when they are older they will remember what you said and live by it.
Luke 6:42 Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother's eye.
I learned that everyone has sin in their life and that it's not up to me to judge anyone. When I reach perfection, then I can judge others. But since that's not going to happen in this life, I should never judge others.
Romans 14:22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
I learned that even though (since Christ's coming) we are not bound by the law given to Moses, we should do the things that others think of as sin while we are alone, in front of God. That way, we don't offend others but can still practice the liberty we have in Christ.
Mat 26:39 And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
Jesus was asking His Father to not be put to death for the sins of the world here. I learned that God doesn't always answer prayers the way we might want Him to. God knows best.
Luk 10:33 But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was: and when he saw him, he had compassion on him,
Samaritans were considered to be "trash" back in Biblical times. I learned that those people that we consider to be the worst can often be the most loving.
Peace.

Proverbs 31:8-9 (The words of King Lamuel): 'Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy'.
We're all brothers and sisters, we're all the same, we should respect each other, never discriminate anyone, and always help those in need, 'cause that's what makes us all human beings, regardless of cultural, religious or racial differences.

Eph 4:26-27
26And "don't sin by letting anger gain control over you." Don't let the sun go down while you are still angry,
27for anger gives a mighty foothold to the Devil.
(NLT)
Eph 4:30-32
30And do not bring sorrow to God's Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he is the one who has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.
31Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of malicious behavior.
32Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.
(NLT)

Jeremiah 29:11 "for I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."-This verse has taught me how much the Lord loves me and cares about what happens to me in my life.
Joshua 24:15 "As for me and my house we will serve the Lord"- this verse is a proclamation to the world that I, as a Christian will serve only one God and that is the God of heaven.
Galatians 5:22-23 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."-A very basic and definitve expectation of how we should live and treat others as Christians.
John 3:16 " For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."- Hope for eternal life in and with Christ Jesus
Galatians 2:20-21 "I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life that I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing."- Reminds me of the sacrifice that Christ made once and for all to cover my sins with his blood.
These are five of the most important verses in the bible to me personally. They give me hope, life, love and purpose.

Matt 4:8-9 Satan offers Jesus all the kingdoms of the world and He refuses.
Luke 6 :24 Jesus said, "Woe to you who are rich, you have your comfort in full."
1 Tim 6:9 Paul says that those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a snare.
Proverbs 23:4 "Labor not to be rich."
James the whole of chapter 5 In the whole chapter he sharply rebukes those that are rich.
I have learned that God doesn't want us to be rich.

1.) Jesus advocates child abuse:
Jesus is criticized by the Pharisees for not washing his hands before eating. He defends himself by attacking them for not killing disobedient children according to the commandment: “He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death.” Matthew 15:4-7
Abandon your wife and children for Jesus and he’ll give your a big reward. Jesus asks that his followers abandon their children to follow him. To leave your child is abuse, it’s called neglect, pure and simple. Matthew 19:29
Jesus criticizes the Jews for not killing their disobedient children according to Old Testament law. Mark 7:9
2) Jesus teaches scary stuff
Jesus says that those who have been less fortunate in this life will have it even worse in the life to come. Mark 4:25
3) Jesus advocates murder and death:
Jesus condemns entire cities to dreadful deaths and to the eternal torment of hell because they didn’t care for his preaching. Matthew 11:20
Jesus, whose clothes are dipped in blood, has a sharp sword sticking out of his mouth. Thus attired, he treads the winepress of the wrath of God. (The winepress is the actual press that humans shall be put into so that we may be ground up.) Revelations 19:13-15
The beast and the false prophet are cast alive into a lake of fire. The rest of us the unchosen will be killed with the sword of Jesus. “An all the fowls were filled with their flesh.” Revelations 19:20-21
