In printing an article of 48000 words, a printer is using two sizes of type. Using the larger type, a printed page contains 1800 words. Using smaller type, a page contains 2400 words. The article is allotted 21 full pages in a magazine. How many pages must be in smaller type?

I am in India and a friend had a motorcycle accident- the hospital sent him him back to hotel with an elastic girdle type thing around his mid-section and a sling for his arm. From the x-rays, it doesn't appear to have been re-set. Is this normal? Will the bones just find each other as they heal or will they heal crooked?

It seems that none of my family or friends share my interest in Harry Potter with the same enthusiasm as i do! In fact they think im barmey! (who can blame them!)
And so, im looking for people in my area to have HP related discussions with, go and see films with and most of all, attend the book 7 release night (ie, waiting outside the bookshop, possibly dressed up, to be the first to get book 7)
I know there are adult HP fans out there, i know of ones my age (23) and even fans who are in their 50's! but it seems no-one lives round my way! come on, where are you?

I live in a multi storeyed apartment where pigeons usually come flying into the balconies. It makes my balcony so dirty that I am unable to use it. I have heard about the bird net which can be used to prevent the birds from entering it. I need to know how far it is effective. Pleeeez help!!!!

I am Occitan and Occitania, known as Aquitania in Roman times and Languedoc in the Middle Ages, is the largest minority in Europe with 13 million people and 200,000km².

Occitan was the first literary language of Europe and was understood in many countries; it's the mother tongue of troubadours and earned a Nobel Prize in 1904 with Frederic Mistral. Modern Portuguese spelling was the work of Occitan monks.

Its territory covers the southern third of France as well as northern Spain and Alpine Italy where it is officially recognized. It was annexed to the kingdom of France after the Pope-led Albigensian crusade killed hundreds of thousands Occitan citizens around the 1200s.

After the 1789 French Revolution, successive political leaders and governments tried to suppress Occitan, prohibiting for example any publication or official use. Until the 1940s, Occitan pupils were often slapped and made to wear a clog around their necks in shame for speaking a word in their tongue.
