It seems that none of my family or friends share my interest in Harry Potter with the same enthusiasm as i do! In fact they think im barmey! (who can blame them!)
And so, im looking for people in my area to have HP related discussions with, go and see films with and most of all, attend the book 7 release night (ie, waiting outside the bookshop, possibly dressed up, to be the first to get book 7)
I know there are adult HP fans out there, i know of ones my age (23) and even fans who are in their 50's! but it seems no-one lives round my way! come on, where are you?

Yes, people may think im sad....but have you ever read the books? they may not be to your taste, but they are very clever on so may levels and no-one can deny they have got more children reading for fun not as a classroom chore.
Everyone has their own interests, so dont diss mine!

Yes! I know someone - she is called Sylke Freeke (she's south african) and she is 18 years old. She lives in Stamford (I think that's fairly close). She is a mad fan and has signed copies of a couple of the books and loads of merchandise.

I'll put you in touch if you want!

Sorry not in your area, in the next County Leicestershire but I don't think you are sad. I am a big Harry Potter fan and I am 25. I am lucky to have my mum who is alo a Harry Potter fan at 48 so I am sorry to hear your family don't share your interest. Hope you find someone in your area.

I know what you mean about the Harry Potter books. I love them! I'm the biggest fan I know & I'm in my 30's. I'd love to discuss the books with you, but I'm not in your area.

There are tons of fan sites you could try & meetup.com is a good one to look at too. If you start at JK's site, jkrowling.com, she posts links to several sites. Once you enter, click on the large single paper clip. They have message boards & discuss the books. You might find someone in your area there.

Good luck!
