I need your help to help me figure out something.
If I have an investment that pays out 1% every month and I reinvest that 1% into the fund, what is the rate of return I get by the end of the year?

Here's the math. I invest $100000 into a fund. The fund pays out 1% for every dollar that i invest in. So, each month, I get $1000. At the end of the year, I get $12000 total.

But what if I take the $1000 and reinvest it into the fund. So, I get extra $10 for second month, $10.10 third month, $10.20 forth month, etc... I compound the investment.

So, at year one, what rate of return do i get? and second year as well?

I have a general idea of 6% but can anyone confirm this with me?

I have a MacBook. It runs both Mac OS: X and Windows. Accidentally, I installed a virus on the the Windows side. Mac was unaffected, while Windows became slower than ever. I ran several antivirus programs, 2 of which picked up nothing, the other founded viruses, but couldn't delete them. I heard that one could some how revert the Windows side (when I didn't have the virus) to origonally how it came on the disc. Does anyone know how to do this and/or if this is a good plan? Thanks. I have certainly learned my lesson on not downloading files on Windows!

ok my best friend and her boy friend broke up and i was hanging out with him last night at a basketball game and we were talking and having a good time well when the game ended we decided to go see a movie and it was so much fun and at the end of the night (one of the best of my life) he said that he had a good time and that he really liked me and defientally wanted to do this again... and i really like him to but the problem is i had made my best fried a promise that we would never date each other ex boyfriend's and like they have been broken up for a month so shes over him and everything but a promise is a promise. right??? like we all hangout at school so they dont hate each other.. but i dont want to brake the promise but i cant hide my feelings for him. should i tell my friend that i cant keep the promise or do i tell the guy that we can only be friends (which i dont think i want to do) have any advice cause i dont want to lose my best friend or the guy... help please.....

I'm going to a concert (not the fun kind) with a gorgeous female friend of mine Monday night and we're going out to eat b4 the concert. She asked me if I wanted to eat eat (which I assume means sit down) or fast food. Well, naturally I said I'd rather eat eat. After all, she's a beautiful girl and it's not everyday that i'd have the chance to take a girl like her out. Anyway, here's the real question. Where should I take her? O'Charley's or Ruby Tuesday? In the past few months I have experienced so much change it has done my head in. All at the same time it seemed to happen, I got a new job so had to leave my job of 4 years and lots of friends behind. A week later the house I was renting with a friend fell through due to him having to go back home and I didn't have enough to rent straight away so had to go back home after 6 months. And my friends with benefits partner who was my best friend at the moment said that she was sleeping with about 4 other people and that she didn't want to with me anymore and consequently told me everything she had done with them which led me to end the friendship due to jealousy.

I feel like I have been shat on from a great height but can't pin point one reason why I feel so down, I really miss my old friend but there was a bit of an age difference and I cared for her so.
