for the first 3 years of my grandson life he lived in our home.last year we were gaven non-custodial parent,but we not sure what our rights are.can we ask for medical records,school records,have a voice in his relegion.Can we make basic decisions for the child – where he goes to school, when he goes to the doctor, etc.?when the father got custody he took our grandson 3000 miles away to live with him.we live in idaho the dad in alaska.we want to be as much as part of gregorys life as possible.can anyone help me out here/

Hi, I am a lesbian and a teacher. I am completely closeted at work. In the staff room there are always lots of comments that are negative and anti-gay - out of ignorance and fear I think, not hate. For example, the other day one of my colleagues had a student call another student a "faggy girl." My colleague told him that it isn't an insult to call a guy a girl, that there is nothing wrong with being a girl. Good right? Then he added "gay on the other hand..." and laughed!! I don't want to out myself and make my life harder, any other suggestions as to what I can do to make my workplace a better spot? Please, some of you are hatefilled, I already know that, so there is no need to post things telling me to change my "choice" or stop teaching your kids. Only serious responses please.

My mum and I are quite close but last night she said a couple of things that made me feel a bit, actually i don't know how I feel!
She told me that i was a great disappointment to her and my dad and she hoped I would have aspired to better things. When I asked what she meant she said that I would have had a better job (i'm a teacher) and that everything I do wasn't something she could be proud of. I'm 32 years old, disabled and she says I could have made more of my life. I could understand it if I still lived with them but I moved out when I was 17 years old...

has just had her checkup at the hostpital. apparently the doctor asked her a few questions about her general health and then said she was fine and free to go. how on earth can he tell that she is fine without doing a proper examination! she feels angry and unsure that everything is ok. has anyone had a hysterectomy and if so were you examined properly a few weeks after? i have told her she should book an appointment with her gp and explain her worries. is that the right advice?

I grew up christian... I became atheist as an adult. My husband is christian, as well as pretty much ALL my friends and family. My dilema is... should I take my kids to church so they have a faith to believe in? Should I allow that, not believing in it myself? In a way I kind of feel like I'm allowing them to believe in something like Santa Clause or something. But also, in a way, I wouldn't mind them having something to believe in.... and I don't want them to be outcasts, being the only ones not to go to church. I'm not sure what to do but I've been thinking about it a lot lately....

my best friend had a child that is very sick and she might die ive been with her since the beiging even stayed at the hospital with her for 6 mouths in a aonther state away from my kids and family . learing how to take care of my godchild with this sickness learned how to run the many machines that keeps her alive and when we get home nurses to help take care of her im the one that shows them how to use the machines cuz they are not familier with them .and then all of the sudden her dad and her just went off on me for no apperent reason and theranten me and my family to the point that i had to call the sherrif and make a police report on him . i dont know if god is telling me that it is time to let them go or the devil trying to sepperate us since i led her to jesus . and she lives next door . just wanted to know some other thoughts on this
