Same reason she had his office "sanitized" and had the park police investigate the "suicide" instead of the FBI.
There weren't too many smoking guns left to corroborate the Whitewater affair. Plus as a long time confidant of the Clinton's he knew where the bodies were buried... literally.

I have really bad news for you!
No matter what crap you say, no matter what lies your party says, you will NEVER taint the image of the Clintons!
Your party spent $70,000,000 dollars investigating Whitewater, to prove what, the Bill got a BJ? WHO CARES?
If Bill Clinton had been able to run, Dubya wouldn't have won either election. Bill would win in a LANDSLIDE today, Hillary willl win regardless of who you put up in 2008. She is the one Democratic candidate that can out fundraise the repubes!
She spent $39,000,000 in an election she could have won spending $1.95! She did it to send a message, that she is going to be the Democratic candidate, and that we are going to win.
So prepare you next decade of whining and diatribe, because we are in power, and we are going to make sure that EVERY vote counts from now on so you can't steal any more elections. If you HAVE to play fair, you don't have a chance, and if feels so freaking good!

I was beginning to think i was the only one who remembered that they were not only liars, and thieves, they are also murderers. The fact that they, John Kerry, and Ted Kennedy are still out in the forefront of the democratic party is proof that the current leadership of the party is corrupt, have a history of killing and drowning people.
