Our 13 month old son keeps turning on the cold water on our water cooler (the hot has a childproof faucet on it, thankfully.) I can't seem to find any way to childproof the cold or block it off from his little hands.

You need to also make sure that the top and bottom of your cooler are anchored to the wall because he could pull it on top of himself and really hurt himself. My friends child did that and ended up with 14 stiches to his face/head.
You can buy a new replacement faucet that is childproof,its easy to change out too. Cost is about 13 dollars or so.

I'm not sure ours has push bars. I need to know how to keep his fingers out of the spigots! Could you just tape a sheet of paper over it if he goes to move the paper you can tell him No. That way you're not trying to make him not do something he used to be able to do. That's right about the age they can begin the concepts of off limits if you're patient and consistent. Good luck

super glue or epoxy a strong elastic band to the top somewhere, strech it over the handle,
he should not be able to pull it off, only adults.
or, they sell replacement handles ( as they get broke)
get a hot water one, and put it on the cold handle.....
( label it so you don't get mixed up later!)
