Is the mark you give yourself based on what you see in the mirror, other people's reactions to you, general high/low self esteem, or something else?
Also, is your partner higher or lower on the scale?
Any other thoughts appreciated.

rondavous, people are always judging themselves against other people. I don't make the rules, that's just the way the world is.

I'm not really interested in the *actual* number - most people are going to say 6 or 7 - rather than the reasons that you've arrived at it....doesn't it tell you something about yourself?

I am a 10 - not being modest - but if you cant love yourself - then you cant expect anyone else to really. My partner is a 10 - I love him to bits and he hits my buttons!
I dont care what other people think of me - everyone is different. who's to say - my 10 isn't someone else's 2.
My friend liza doesn't seem my b'friend as attractive - but I dont see hers like that either. But she's happy and so am I.
LOVE YOURSELF.! cos then if no one else does - at least one person loves you. xxx

Good question! But isn't it annoying when people are so offended or indignant whenever anyone asks questions about appearance!! Become all 'it's what's inside that counts'. Lighten up!! Of course what's inside counts but it's also fair to say that positively or negatively we ALL judge on looks on some level and we are ALL aware of this scale of attractiveness!
So... I think 7/10 for me and the same for my boyfriend. Personality wise, we both go right up to 11 ;-D

why oh why do people take questions like this so serious i.e jj. its just a light hearted question. anyway i would see myself as a modest 8 if it wasnt for my conk i could stretch to a 9 lol. and my partner on my scale is off the scale :-).(over 10 lol not under1)

Interesting ask, but then I would have to question what kind of person would 1) rate themselves in terms of aesthetics and 2) rate their partner/boyfriend/girlfriend as such.
A little narcissistic I would say. Do looks really matter that much?
