I am a Christian, and I'm concerned about the negative stereotypes people hold in their minds about us. Much like Democrats who hate Repulicans; all republicans are white, stodgy, boring men in their 50's who smoke cigars and listen to Rush Limbaugh, right? Republicans think Democrats are all vegetarian hippies who wear birkenstocks and tie-dye and read the Village Voice.

We hold these stereotypes in our minds, and often don't WANT to see past them, do we?

So let's hear it. I have my own negative impressions of Christians, but I want to hear everyone else's. What is it about Christians that turns you off? Personality, associations, beliefs, what is it? We're going to turn the other cheek here, so let it fly. We want to know how others see us so that we can be more approachable.

I recently discovered that my boyfriend of 1 year is addicted to pornography. We're both 24. I knew he looked at it but, I didn't know it was this bad. He doesn't even tell me when he looks so I know he is ashamed. He was molested as a child so it might have something to do with it. I found out when I used his computer. The history window was open when I logged onto the internet and he had been to literally hundreds of different porn sites over the last few weeks. I don't think looking at porn is bad but, he is obviously out of control. We have watched porn a few times together before but when I suggested we should look at it together he thought that was weird. Tonight he told me he was too tired to have sex and sent me home. As soon as I left, he shut off all the lights and I saw the computer turn on. I didn't accuse him of it but he got mad when I called and asked him what he was doing. We love each other and I want to help. Any ideas how I can make him realize this isn't healthy?

It's only a matter of time before America is hit again with a terror attack. Because of the rise in terror incidents in other nations, Americans must not think that we will not be hit again. However, our attitudes must be that of vigilance and strength as we come together and realize just who we are fighting. We are fighting individuals who have a mentality to gleefully behead innocents. Such is the case of two American soldiers, Kristian Menchaca and Thomas Tucker, who were brutally murdered, their bodies desecrated after being taken hostage by a group associated with Al-Qaeda in Iraq. Americans should see, over and over, what terrorists are capable of doing. Americans are in a serious fight, and we are not to sit back and think all is well.

Reasons Why Being Gay Is Wrong

1) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

2) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

3) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven't adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

4) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn't changed at all; women are still property, blacks still can't marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

5) Straight marriages will be less meaningful if gay marriages were allowed; the sanctity of Britney Spears' 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

6) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn't be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren't full yet, and the world needs more kids.
