If you've bought, how good is it so far? If you haven't bought it and you know about it what do you know about it. Do you recommend it?

I understand that there are provincial guidelines of what our kids should be learning in what grade/age, etc... But when do kids get to be kids? I have two children- a girl who is 12 in December (grade 7), and my son is 7 (grade 1). My husband and I got a YMCA family pass 3 weeks ago, and haven't been able to use it because the kids have too much homework. Plus- you feel pressured for them to do it because it seems like a reflection on you as a parent... I just feel like kids are just too overwhelmed, and in truth it's hard to do fun things during the week as a family...
It is like information overload for them... Sometimes they just need to be kids

People are upset with the current internation policy. If the Republican retain control of congress and things do not improve much by 2008, wouldn't that set the stage for a Democratic clean sweep in 2008?
If the Democratics win some control back now, don't you think that would create a share responsibilty if things continue to go badly for the next two years? Wouldn't that give a Republican presidential candidate a better chance of winning in 2008?

Well, I just officially joined the army national guards, and I have lost 30 pounds in the last 4 months, which is good. I want to lose 20 more, and I don't want to gain anymore. I will end up at 115 pounds when I am all finished. For the last 4 months I only have been eating between 500 and 1200 calories a day, taking diet pills, taking the occasional laxative, and exercising like crazy. I have energy though, and I am actually more physically fit now than I have ever been. Well, today I ate a little to much and for the very first time I purged it out, and to tell you the truth, it felt great, like I undid what I did wrong. I am also going to the gym for about 2 hours tonight. I really don't know if I have a eating disorder, but I definitely know I am close, and the thing is, is I don't want to change it right now, not until I get to a weight that I am happy with anyways. I don't want to get discharged from the military. I go to training this May, after college graduation.

Hi. I'm a 16 year old male student who has always been interested in the martial arts. I lift weights and, in the summer, play "casual" tennis. Do you think it's too late for me to start, or is it just as good to start now as it would have been to start earlier?

Where do I look for an instructor/school? How can i find out what styles are taught in my area? How do I know that the school(s) that I'm looking at are accredited? How do I know that the school(s) that I'm looking at concentrate more on competition than on the art itself?
