Ok, I need something totally original, I'd like my hubby and I to coordinate but it's not a necessity. I am very liberal so nothing is too offensive or out there. I've already heard of the nun/priest and the oven and baker. Also, the white trash beer gut. So pleeease help! I know it's a staph infection like virus & that it's very contagious. I know of someone that has this virus & she came into the nail salon while I was there & she was getting a pedicure. I know nail salons are not always the most hygenic & tools may not get completely sterilized inbetween customers. Should she be going to public places like this? Should I notify the salon? The health dept.?? I was really liking this salon until this & I don't think I'll be going back ::o(

My boy friend of 6 years is a jerk. He cusses alot and has a very negitive attitude on life in general. However, when around our daughter he is a great person. He becomes lovable and sweet. He works on an oil rig with a bunch of men who talk down on women. He tells me that I need to accept him how he is???? How do I show him love so he can be the man I want him to be!

My thirty year old son also me owes 25K over the years of borrowing to stay afloat. I am divorced on a fixed income, but am always willing to help my kids. My son is moving in my home shortly, in order to pay off his debt. My question is...is it fair to charge him rent or just the extra costs of utilities. He does make over double then my income. I know he doesn't want to have to move in with his mom but knows he needs to in order to get ahead.

In the Pismo Beach area the winter butterfly population is getting smaller every year.

Since they lay their larva in milkweed, it is important that the plant be plentiful wherever butterflies are in the spring and summer.

And herbicide spray may be killing off the milkweed.

Teens don't like parents who 'nag'- they want to be independent. Fine, but when your 16 yr old still NEEDS help with remembering basic stuff (hygine, school work, getting ready for a trip, getting organized ect), what do you do ?!?

I dont want to be co-dependent, with another person's problems, and when he turns 18 , fine I will back off. But my kid is NOT on meds -I have only used behaviour management all theses years. Now he has reached a new milestone, now has a girlfriend, and thinks hes an adult.

He's really starting to 'power struggle' with me and resist more than ever. NO matter how 'nice' or 'neutral' or 'authoritative' or 'diplomatic' or 'agressive' or 'indirectly' or 'helpfully' or 'casualy' or, I approach it, he snaps at me.

I am simply, calmly (most of the time) trying apply the 'extra-hard-work' parenting I have been doing all these years...and he resists.

Until hes 18 I am responsible to see he baths, goes to school, has clothing, a coat, ect

My friend had a miscarriage last week, and worried about her partner. He hasn't really opened up about how he feels, and has only said that he is worried about her state of mind.
For those of you who have been through this, can you tell me how your partners dealt with miscarriages, and the stages that you, as a couple have gone through to overcome the feelings that you have had?
Just so we are clear, this isn't one of those situations where I say 'my friend' but mean 'me'.
