My husband and I are from two different cultures. He is from the Philippines and I am from America. The way we did it was just by learning about each others cultures and trying to understand what each other means when we say certain things. Some times the things each of us do the other person doesn't understand and then when we explain ourselves things work out just fine. I have borrowed book from the library on his cultrure and country and I have been there twice, that was the biggest bridge for me I actually got to see how he lived when he grew up.

it's an odd question because most people are part of only one culture at one time.

It sounds like you were asked to bridge your culture and another. Without knowing what those two cultures are, it's rather difficult to answer, wouldn't you agree?

Get rid of community centers which only cater for one section of the community. How can you have an integrated community when you have Asian Centres, Caribbean Centres etc. It is these which have kept the ethnic population apart from the majority and also each other. I would also bring in language tests for immigrants and ban councils from publishing pamphlets in multiple languages.
Strong measures are needed to force integration.

If there's no right or wrong answer how can you ask someone to answer it correctly to get 10 points. Does not compute.

This question is too vague. Brigding cultures is a tricky business. What two cultures are we attempting to bridge?

What two cultures? you need to respect other peoples cultures, even if you don't agree with them. Don't judge what you may not understand. Keep an open mind.

By first embracing the similarities. That would create an initial bond. Second, by trying to understand and accept the differences without being judgemental.
