Why is the government planning to allow the growing of GM crops in the UK when there is very little prospect of acceptance by the buying public and every indication that most shops would refuse to stock them. The (American) promotors say we 'need to be educated'! Well, I for one will not be told by anybody what I must eat. I predict that we will see GM crops burning in the fields if this pointless profit-centered 'science' is foisted on highly sceptical British consumers. Clearly there is a hidden agenda at work - and I bet several very fat 'brown envelopes' are already changing hands!

My closest friend, that I have been friends with since '91, & graduated together, has recently moved in with a girl that was once a friend of mind, but now completely hate for a good d-amn reAson (i won't go into detail) me & her aren't allowed each other from the accident. (it's not a restraining order) Now in some converstions the girl is slipped in with the subject, though I know not meaningful to bother me. Yesterday she called my friend & I was there at her granny's & she spoke so loud I could hear her. She came by to pick something up, & I went up the stairs but still heard the b-itch's voice. Another friend of my close friend told me to forgive and forget & was b-itching at me, but he doesn't know that other girl as well as me, & didn't know what I went thru & still am. In college there was this guy (I say was because he is no more) I dint talk to him much but he helped me once or twice in class and he sat directly behind me... In "Moby Dick", the Pequod meets the Rachel, another whaling vessel whose Captain has lost his sons in the pursuit of whales. I understand that Rachel had to wait years to have children, and that in some readings of the Bible she weeps for "her children", meaning her descendants.

But what does Melville mean when he says "she was Rachel weeping for her children, because they were not."

Because they were not weeping? Because they were not her children? Because they were not? [philosophically?]

Its a beautiful reference, but I'm not sure what it means...

My boyfriend is working on his thesis and he needs some assistance finding some primary sources. He hasn't been able to find that much about this topic. He needs to find primary sources about how special ed teachers are treated differently from other teachers. they cancelled my car insurance, which I was going to do anyway, but they're reporting it, which means I'll have a suspended license. I have no problem turning in my plate to avoid any hassles, but how do I do it from Illinois? Can I turn it in here? My ex seems to have turned my kids against me cos I refuse to be a bottomless pit of money.She gets what she is entitled to by law but wants more and now I have refused to pay this she wont allow any contact with them .I am thinking of legal action.
