Stay away from her when at all possible. If that doesn't work, then sit down with another family member and ask them what they think should be done. You lack a lot of details so it's hard to really say 100%.

More information is needed for anyone to answer this question....do you have to live with her? Do you have to at all be around her? Is she old? Older than 60? Try to talk to her and let her know how you feel.

Depending on how old and independent you are, it is sometimes hard to avoid family members. Get to know her and find out her background. if she still is mean to you, just avoid her.
