I have a fender strat and bought it brand new. Never had any problems with the tuning pegs before until now. I took the old strings off which are the ones that came on the guitar so i'd never changes the strings on this guitar before. Now when im trying to wind the new strings up, on about 3 pegs, after a few winds the peg gets really tight and if I carry on turning it it gives way and the string slackens off. What causes it and what can I do? I was thinking about spaying a bit of WD40 in the tuning peg casing but I thought it might make it too slippy and not grip at all?

I haven't been home for the past two nights, but she has been with my aunt at my house. When I went to bed last night, she was sitting up, and her front legs were trembling. I pulled her to me and laid her on my chest to comfort her, but she was still trembling, and it sounded like she was wimpering. I laid her back on the bed. Sometime early this morning she jumped off my bed and went to lay down under the bed. This isn't highly unusual, but it's not an often occurence either. She usually only jumps off the bed when my boyfriend is over, or if she wants to go outside. She also usually gets up with me in the morning, and goes outside while I get ready for work. This morning, I got her out from under the bed, and tried to take her to her food and water, but she seemed uninterested. She just turned around and ran back to my bedroom and under the bed. This isn't like her, she is a very energetic and friendly dog. I am very worried, please help.
