The Cheleshial nymp Urvashi was fond of Arjuna and wanted to marry him but arjuna refused. In turn urvashi cursed him to be an eunuch for one year. As Arjuna was destined to pass one year as eunuch (thanks to the curse of Urvashi of Heaven) it was decided that he teach dance and music to the princess Uttara in the guise of eunuch assuming the name Brihnnala. this happened in the incognito of Pandavas on the last year. The curse then came as a boon to Arjuna.

The Pandav Arjuna was cursed by his stepmother Urvashi for refusing her sexual advances. Arjuna became Brihannala, the eunuch, and teach dance and music to the king’s daughter, during that one year.

Arjun. During his last year of Agyat Vass he take the curse and it became very easy for him to hide himself in King Virat's Rajya. He use to give dance lessons to Uttara- the daughter of virat and when virat learnt that who actually is the eunuch he offered to marry his daughter with arjun but arjun refused saying that uttara is his Shishya which is equal to daughter so he accepted uttara as his daughter in law and arranged her marriage with his son Abhimanyu.
