I have birds (sparrows) that like to sit on my lights in an overhang canopy. They had nested behind the lights, but we closed that off. Now they just sit on the lights and poop everywhere. I've used stickygoo, spikes, buzzers, owls. Nothing seems to stop them. My predecessor had even took to shooting them with a pellet gun. I do not believe in killing anything just for convenience so shooting them is out. This is indirect lighting so I don't want to "cage" the light if i don't have to. Any suggestions? No poison either.

My pup is 6 months old and has toys to chew on. But he chooses to chew on everything else like the dining room chairs, coffee tables, corners on walls, etc. Every time we see him do that, we tell him no and give him one of his toys to chew on. But it hasn't worked yet. We literally, can not let him out of our sight. He is not teething, so that is not the problem. Please offer your suggestions.

to defend yourself?...87% of gun owners have no training. how will you defend yourself if you dont know what you're doing?...you're more likely to shoot a friend or family member by accident.

to defend yourself against the gov?....try using a .38 against a tank...lemme know how that works for ya.

seriously. why do we need guns?...i know its in the constitution, but with all the nuts in our society, and the ease with which they get guns, the US is soaked in blood from gun related crimes....take away the guns, and what happens?

If you cannot answer this without being rude, don't answer at all.

12 years ago, when my son was 8 years old, I got a call at work from the school principal. She said my son had been acting up and cursing at school. When I got there, the teacher told me everything that had happened. I ask him did he do it? He said yes. I told the teacher, Excuse me for a minute. She told me “If you whoop him, I’ll have to call the cops on you”. I said “That’ll be no problem. In fact, I’ll call the cops for you and tell them I whooped my child. When they get here, tell them I said if they think they can raise him better than I can, they can take him”. Needless to say, the call to the cops never happened but my child’s whooping did. My mother did the same thing to me, and I’ll admit I hated it, but I thanked her for it years later. She used to say “Where you act out at, you get your *** whooped at”. I never was a big fan of time out. The only rime out I took was a time out to take a belt to my son’s butt. How many of you spank your kids?

By the way, for those of you who think that my son might be emotionally scared, He’s fine and he told me “thank you, Mom” yesterday.

My dad was just diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. I've done some research and read a few answers here on yahoo. Everyone is saying that this is "a death sentence". I was wondering if anyone knows how long the average life expectancy is of someone with stage four colon cancer...it has spread to the liver and lungs as well.

First off, I want to state that this isn't ME..it's a single friend's situation.

Okay, so, situation is:

You get into a purely physical relationship. And it is stated that from the beginning - a booty call friend.

When one of you calls it off. The other says "Well, when you want to start hooking up again - let me know." and the reply you get is "I think you are being selfish about this whole thing."

She, of course, wasn't expecting this reply. Did he start to feel something? Because that's what those types or relationships are - selfish, yes?

I couple of months ago I came across a website containing some excellent art created by a Japanese (I think) artist and I can’t find the website, so perhaps one can direct it to me?

If not, would you happen to know a different site that contains Gothic Lolita art?
