++++NEED IT. +++WANT IT +++WILL IT MAKE ME MONEY. +++TRASH+++++
I am also a pack rat . On top of that I am lazy. One day I was setting in my chair... With just years of stuff all around and years of watching all the TV shows on clutter and how to get rid of it. They all required new shelf-es, buckets, etc.., to much work.. and All ending on spending money.
these words came to me.
++++NEED IT++++WANT IT++++WILL IT MAKE ME MONEY++++TRASH++++ This is what I did and now my house is clutter free.(almost) I keep a basket by the front door and fill it up as I go. Clothes to small ? Tass it in the basket. Making dinner find bowl u do not use put it in the basket, trip over a toy one to many times. Put it in the basket. Basket gets full. Donate. or Yard sell.
+++Advice+++++ Yard sells don't have to be huge or an all day thing . Make it something you can handle. Set a small table outside put a few Items out. People may -need- the things you have. Look at it as your helping others.
People will look forward to seeing your yard sell sign come out.
Aftersell put in trunk of car and drop it off at goodwill, sometime when you are in the area. Or leave in trunk till the next sell. When bucket /basket is full.

I am reading a book called "Learning to Love" by a priest. The book is not really about being a packrat, but it touches on all the material things we have been programmed by culture, society, parents, religious groups to believe we need to be happy. When we hold on to things we become a slave to them. Let it go mentally and then you can let it go literally. Get a friend to help you sort things out. If a yard sale doesn't work, try selling smaller things on ebay. It's fun.

There are services for you illness. It is a by-product of anxiety and pain. It is not at all uncommon. There are companies that send crews, trucks, and dumpsters to clean up, and organizers that will rebuild and reporganize your home. First, seek counseling, and when you are ready to commit, then call these services. I sw a show about thin on Dr.Phil. They have the transcript of the show on the site, plus links you might find helpful.
If you want more info, go to www.drphil.com.

This need to hold onto things goes deeper than what you see on the surface. I think you know this.
Seek counseling with a professional to see if you can uncover where this stems from. In addition, think of investing in an extended visit from a professional organizer.
Like any addiction, it will take a lifelong commitment to keep this in check, but good for you for wanting to begin now.

Have a good friend go through your stuff for you. Have them sort EVERYTHING and let them decide whether you absolutely need something or not. You can't be there though; if you are, you won't get rid of the stuff that you don't need. Have your friend arrange a yard sale for you, and sell it all. You'll probably make a good share of money too!

From a fellow pack rat, when I clean my closet my mom comes over and asks,"do you really need this", and I have to explain why I would need it, and she give me a hard speech on why I do not need it. I suggest have a third party help you clean your home and ask the same question. I also think that they should help you help you organize you house.

Two words... Storage space
If you must keep all these items, at least keep them out of your primary living space. Over time, you can get around to sorting and eliminating some stuff without it dominating your everyday existence.

You have to be so strong...so get help from someone who can ask the right questions about the individual items...then you MUST just do it...a stranger is the best maybe, with a family member backup

Sometimes a radical change will help...
If You for instance have to move to another place,
— like another city —
You HAVE to get rid of some things, even if it hurts You.
Believe me — I moved very often in my short life.
But I am lucky I had it that way...

Transactions over $10,000 in funds are recorded and suggested to the IRS. it rather is executed in an attempt to keep away from money laundering from illicit events. presented you do not supply your economic enterprise any reason to be suspicious and the money became into gained legitimately, you would be wonderful.
