Xmas Day was a horse running in a National Hunt meeting taking place on Boxing Day. Unfortunately, Xmas Day failed to clear one of the jumps - so Xmas Day fell on Boxing Day.
OK that's how, I don't know when.

Boxing Day is Dec 26th. Christmas Day is Dec 25th. They can never be on the same day. However due to the time difference, when it is Boxing Day in Australia, it is only Christmas Day in America, so if you look at it like that, I suppose for several hours every year they do fall at the same time.

Christmas Day is to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He was born, according to the bible, on the 25th of December. This therefroe means that Christmas Day will always be the 25th of December.
Boxing Day is always celebrated as a holiday, the next working day after Christmas Day. However, if Christmas Day falls on a Saturday, Boxing Day is the Monday, which would be the 27th. This therefore in most cases this is the 26th of December, however, it is legally the 27th of December, which just happens to be my birthday!
