I'm a 26 year old from mexican parents but born in usa. I speak spanish but i don't speak it well because i'm not a talktive person.. i'm shy and quiet. I feel i cannot improve because i don't joke around, don't like gossip and i'm just not lively like all the other mexicans i see. So, i will never be good at it if i continue to be shy? Mexican spanish doesn't have room for quiet people?

I am not someone who lets guys and dating get to me. I don't fall head over heels very fast, and I rarely let my guard down and let people in.
I have been 'seeing' someone for only about a month, and stupid stuff happened (no one's fault) and it is just not going to work out.
Why, then, is it bothering me so much this time? I can't stop thinking about it, and I am really upset...

could i still be pregnant and have 2 negative tests? me and my hubby had sex before my OV day on july 24th and my period in august was 9 days late and ended 2 days earlier. i took 2 HPT's and they were negative. But could i still be pregnant?

if anybody has some information on how i can gain custody of my niece, please help. she is verbally abused...meaning when i was i little girl i had trouble with math, but i didn't want to ask my parents, 'cause they were really strict. i decided to ask my dad one time for help on a math problem and he told me i was good for nothing and called me stupid because i didn't know how to do the problem. i know i'm not stupid and that was 16 years ago, (i was 11 at the time),it still hurts sometimes that a parent could say that to a child and think its right. we used to live in the projects and they were really bad. gangs, killings, rapes. that place was horrible. my parents moved me and my brother and sister to another state to hopefully better ourselves, but the only ones that got better were me and my siblings. my parents seem to have gotten worse and stayed with their old ways . now my niece is paying for it with having to be called stupid and other horrible names. she's 12.......

I have been here for about a year, and I am amazed at how unscrupulous many of them can be. Lying just doesn't seem so difficult to them for some reason. Perhaps it is because they are without a judeo-christian ethic: thou shalt not lie. I'm agnostic, but telling the truth just seems the right thing to do.

in the name of free amnesty. This is funny because almost all Hispanic illegals live in a self sustained neighborhood....that caters to thier criminal housing...fake ss#...fake liscense...cheap car mechanics(illegals). Cheap grocery etc. When they boycott work they are only hurting thier own people. Does anyone else see the irony in this. My Best Friend Catie is a real jerk!!! Example the other day she was telling me how much she hates my mom!! " I cried when I heard YOUr Mom was taking us to carowinds" " I hate your mom she is so mean" then she starts yelling at me when I invited another friend over instead of going to her house!! She even told me that her mom hates me!!
We are having a huge fight right now. Because I told her to stop griping about my mom!!
Is she just a spioled Brat or should I just not hang out with her anymore? I dont want to be her friend anymore but she can be a really good friend (sometimes)

from TV to silverware (thanks to my parents). I have a steady job working with kids. I am making $800 a month, and The apartment only costs me $400 since I am splitting the cost with my room mate. Thats with electrical and water. But I am still a nervous reck and feel I am not ready. Is this just me getting the jittters or what?

has anybody experienced rapid weight loss and what did they use. i know the longer it takes to get off , the more chance it'll stay off. But my sisters getting married and i need to be tip top, summer evenings drinking have piled some weight on.
