~Proof God exists~
Proof God exists
The question is, “Can you prove God exists?” or some variation on that query. To fairly answer and consider the factual evidence, a definition must be agreed to. We must establish who God is, then weigh the verifiable evidence of His existence.
Since I am a Biblical Christian who believes in a Living God, He is The One God that I will share tangible evidence for. I will not address the existence of any other god(s) who I do not believe exist. This God of which I speak is the creator and intelligent designer of the universe. Since the question is not about what God has done, we do not need to discuss His attributes. We only need to consider His existence.
WHO is God?
Jesus Christ of Nazareth is God. My proof for that statement is found in the following references.
1. CHRIST'S DIRECT CLAIMS TO DEITY - Matthew 26:63-64, John 14:9, John 8:58 (cf. Exodus 3:14), John 12:45, John 10:30-33,36,38, Mark 14:61-64 (cf. Daniel 7:13-14), John 13:20, (cf. Psalm 110:1), John 14:9, Luke 22:70, John 10:30-33,36,38 & John 13:20
2. CHRIST'S INDIRECT CLAIMS TO DEITY - ( His authority) Matthew 28:18; John 8:28, (Forgiver of sin) Mark 2:5-7; Matthew 9:2-7; Luke 7:48, (Generally) John 5:17-18, John 5:23, 23, John 8:19, John 14:1
3. CHRIST'S CLAIM TO DIETY CONFIRMED BY OTHERS - Matthew 27:43, John 20:28, John 19:7, Acts 7:59, Matthew 16:15-17, John 1:49, John 1:34, Mark 5:7, Acts 2:36, ("I implore you the God."), John 11:27
4. CHRIST'S ACCEPTANCE OF WORSHIP AS GOD
Matthew 8:2 -- Leper worshipped Him
John 9:35-39 -- Man born blind, after being healed, "worshipped him."
Matthew 14:33 -- Disciples worshipped him
Matthew 2:11 -- Magi worshipped Him
Angels are commanded to worship Christ (Hebrews 1:6, 8)
5. DIRECT SCRIPTURE SHOWING THAT JESUS IS GOD - John 1:1, Romans 9:5, Philippians 2:6, 9-11, Isaiah 9:6 (Messiah called Yahweh) (cf. Isaiah 45:23), Matthew 28:19 (Note name is singular), Titus 2:13, Hebrews 1:10 (see Psalm 102:25-27), II Thessalonians 1:12, II Peter 1:1, Luke 3:22, Matthew 3:17, Mark 1:1, I John 5:20, Hebrews 1:8, Colossians 1:19, John 20:30-31, Hebrews 4:14, Colossians 2:9, Luke 8:39
Now that I have shown that Jesus is God, all we need is to prove He existed. The extra-Biblical evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ of Nazareth is verified by the following contemporary historical evidence sources; Flavius Josephus, Thallus, Phlegon, Pliny the Younger, Cornelius Tacitus, Suetonisu and Mara Bar-Serapion. It's called nature. One of the many processes that can be backed up by science today. Not just a book that's just an amalgamation of legends and myths passed down through the centuries. And so many people have a huge problem with all of the atrocities committed in the name of the church and the bible.Take Copernicus being burned at the stake for claiming that the Earth revolves around the sun and claiming the Earth is round and not flat. This was considered heresy in his time.In case you didn't know he was killed(one of the great thinkers of his time)in the name of god for stating what we know th be 100% fact today.Where the hell was God when that happened? And that's not to mention the rest of the atrocities commited by the inquisition.I'm sure you'll give the common auto response that he was needed in heaven or something ridiculous like that.I'm more apt to believe in Einsteins definition of God as an energy. Not a thinking entity.Prove otherwise.

I think people react adversly for two reasons ignorance and resistance. I am not religious and I know nothing about what happens when we die. I have a lot of thoughts and suspicions about what may be but I don't know for sure. That can generate a lot of fear. And that fear manifests in aggression towards people who have faith in their beliefs.
Also, we are afraid of being duped by religious people. Not that religious people are inherently bad, but because we are afraid of living a lie no matter how nice it sounds. In fact the nicer it sounds the more we have trouble believing it.
What has worked for me is total surrender to what is. Resistance is futile. I see god as love. I care a lot about people for who they are knowing full well that form is only temporary and then who knows. I live in the moment and spread kindness and love where I can.
I really appreciate religious people who would like to save me. I understand they believe I am destined for hell or purgatory or some other place. But I am not interested in following a religion. I think it's fine for some but not all.
I'm not religious and you are. I think that's cool. I also have a sneaking suspicion that you will go to heaven.
All the best - good question.

Christians trust that in basic terms those who settle for jesus as their savior and develop into born again, and also asking God's forgiveness, will bypass to heaven. So certain, it fairly is a sturdy majority of the international which will be going to hell. Having that concept isnt incorrect if you're a Christian, yet i cant verify that another faith will imagine you're incorrect. a lot of human beings position self belief in diverse issues..it fairly is why there are such quite some diverse religions contained in the international.

If you believe there is God, there He is. He is the Universe, yet a part of the Universe. He is everywhere - unseen. A mom and a daddy are mere instruments in making a baby. It is the Will of God. When everything is going on well and on the expected lines, no one thinks about God. Only when something goes wrong for us and we are in trouble we tend to think of God! There is story of a devotee who begged to God to make his life miserable always so that he could think of Him always!

Hey , I respect your passion. You speak strongly ( at least in this somewhat anonymous form) about the existence of God as someone(something?) that not only exists but is responsible for "our" existence too. Then you touch on the " forgiveness of our sins" Well, that only applies who have been introduced to that concept ,that certain acts and even acts of omission are sins( aka :misdeeds, crimes, acts of abuse and violence,or even just uncaring and unkindness) We as a human race have a rich history of "reaching out to God or gods and goddesses , a Creator and sometimes figments of our religious imaginations". There are of course those who think therefore they are athiests. Well you can choose to believe that people made up the concept of God in their need for one ( or a dozen!) and that "God " exists in only the human mind, but I prefer to believe that we are connected to the greatness that is the universe by a means that is subtle and even mystical. And as many masters of the mystical have searched in their own way to find that connection with the infinite/God/Creator/Source , some have lived in such a way that they could NOT be left in obscurity. As result . they have blazed a trail for followers. As for me and my house , we will serve the Lord. And this is the beauty of it all, connection with the Almighty is a response to a loving request to live in the greatest story ever told. We have been shown a way to heaven and its to choose love over everything else. Thanks for the passion and God bless everyone who asks and answers it.

It is all in FAITH. If you believe GOD exists you are certain that HE does. If anyone believes that GOD doesn't exist they are certain that he doesn't.
What I do not understand is why can't people respect one another's opinion as NO one has ANY whatsoever definite evidence of whether GOD exists or not. Why the heck do they have to kill each other and fight over it all the time ?

Yes, by magic.... or miracles... or genetics.
You can't prove god to people who don't choose to belief. Because that defies the very nature of faith.
And arguing "how else could it have happened" is pointless, because there are many different explanations. As many as there are religions and belief systems in the world.
So, unless you are trying to argue that your belief system is the One True Way™, and that all other beliefs are wrong, your arguments don't support your position. And if you are trying to argue that your beliefs are the only valid ones, and that anyone who comes to a different conclusion is wrong, then I feel sorry for you. Because you've obviously missed the concept of tolerance.

well I personally believe we got here by evolution, cuz it's a lot more logical than some high and mighty being in the sky deciding that there should just be life.
Not everyone believes in god or the bible why can't Christians just get the hell over it..

Its not good to argue about God, the bible etc. You know he is true, millions around the world know he is true. Some people will believe in their own time, all you can do is nicely answer their questions & only when they ask you is the best thing to do & mainly hang around with people who believe like you.
