capital punisment has not worked in any country as a deterent of crime .
and how can any country talk human rights when they murder people .
when the poms got rid of it police murders went down not up.
asia has it for drugs but the drugs still move freely.
apart from feeling good about getting rid of some lowlife killer
what do you get from it as far as i can see nothing.

I dont know about where you lived, but I live in the Northeast and during the World Cup I stayed in my hometown (ny), traveled to Ohio, Boston, and Connecticut.

In all four of these areas I saw sooo many different flags! Italian flag (ESPECIALLY after they won), French flag, Polish flag, Brasilian flag, German flag. And I know for a fact a lot of these people putting up the flags were citizens.

Would you (who get offended by Mexicans [not just illegal immigrants, all Mexicans] putting up their flag) be offended by this?

Personally, I think it is okay to represent where your family is from and their heritage. Its great to represent this country, but lets face it, there is no such thing as a "pure" american. Our family history can all be traced back to something different, whether that is European, African, or Native American.

I do not think putting up other countrys' flags are wrong? Do you? And do you think these people putting up the flags for the World Cup are wrong as well

These were getting popular on diesels a few years ago. Have they made it to cars yet. I would think being able to affect the inner volume of the turbo on the fly might make it build up pressure faster.

At the National Art Gallery in Dublin, Ireland, a husband and wife were staring at a portrait that had them completely confused. The painting depicted 3 black men totally naked,sitting on a park bench.

Two of the figures had black willies (British slang for p-e-n-i-s), but the one in the middle had a pink willy.

The curator of the gallery, realized that they were having trouble interpreting the painting and offered his personal assessment.

He went on for over a half an hour explaining how it depicted the sexual emasculation of African Americans in a predominately white,
patriarchal society.

"In fact", he pointed out, "some serious critics believe that the pink willy, also reflects the cultural and sociological oppression experienced by gay men in contemporary society".

After the curator left, an Irishman approached the couple and said, "Would you like to know what the painting is really about?"

"Now why would you claim to be more of an expert than the curator of the gallery?", asked the couple.

"Because I'm the guy who painted the picture, "he replied. "In fact, there are no African Americans depicted at all. They're just three Irish coal miners.

The guy in the middle went home for lunch.

I love this speech. It shows the closeness of the US Army (or any other branch) and also shows why we in the military show this profession.

I am not in the infantry (I am MP) but I can relate to a lot of stuff the LTC was stating....

I was married for 21 years. Married when I was pregnant and very young. We had 3 children together. He was abusive to me and our children. I was able to get away with my kids and we are now safe. He's out of our lives because he is in jail. He's due to get released in the next 2 years. I still live in fear of him emotionally and when he's released it will be physically. I have had a couple other relationships since my divorce (good guys) but, I always have a problem with trusting and letting down my guard to my heart. My children are now grown and are doing good but, I can't seem to get over the abuse. I've been in therapy for a long time and nothing seems to work. I've come a long way but, I'm still afraid of getting hurt again. What can I do to eventually get over my past. I want a happy relationship too like so many married couples that I see. I'm a good person and I think I have so much to offer. Help! Thanks!

Why do so many idiots call Jews Christ killers with derision and hate when God gave his son for our salvation. Without Christs death we wouldn't have sacrifice or resurrection, key elements in Christianity. Seems to me like whatever role the Jews might have played in Christs death was exactly what God wanted.
