Other's have said it, but my bet is on hernia. I'm experiencing the same thing right now and have seen my doctor already. He gave me a month perscription for an anti-inflammitory medication. He also said no running, and no lifting of anything heavier than a gallon of milk. If the pain continues, he said I will have to see a surgeon to have it repaired. My father and one of my sons has already had this surgery and been fine afterward. Good luck and quit sneezing.

Next time you see the doctor, ask if you have a small hernia there, a weaker area in the tissue. It's not unusual, because there's a sort of tunnel through there when you're a fetus, and then over a few months it usually becomes firmed up. It's not always a serious problem, but you might feel that pain because when you cough, it increases pressure inside you and the inner organs push on the weak spot. If it is a hernia, he can tell you what if any treatment you'd need. Hernia surgery is pretty common and uncomplicated.

Dear Sir:

If you get a sharp pain when you sneeze you are probably suffering from a hernia and need to be seen by a doctor immediately. Please do not wait until some of your insides slip out of this weakened spot in your groin. When that happens the problem will become very severe and painful to repair. With the tools of modern medecine such difficulties can usually be fixed without a lot of trouble.

I have not seen your body and conducted tests to determine if my guess is correct, however, so please do not use my guess as "the final word." A licensed physician will need to make that determination. I am just related to the Geico Lizzard and make car insurance quotes.

In pain right now and I just tested and confirmed that this happens when I'm dehydrated. Fixed itself when I drank 4 cups of water and urinated again, this time the pain was gone.

I was thinking your condition had to do with the cremaster muscle but it sounds more involved and is more likely to be a hernia. schedule an appt with your family doctor who will probably refer you to a general surgeon. Good luck!
